When we honor Mother Earth by inviting the expanse of the natural world into our writing, we become caretakers and stewards of the earth. When we write from the heart of our own wilderness we can experience a sense of joy and healing. This workshop is for anyone who wants to experiment and play with language by "spilling" words unto paper, be it poetry or prose.
Ellen will inspire you with helpful prompts as a way of weaving your real-life experiences and personal connections with nature into your writing. Participants will learn from one another in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. We’ll spend Saturday writing and exploring our surroundings. On Sunday we’ll gather words, lines, and images for our writing to create a simple "art book", to be embellished with found objects from nature.
