Judith Strasser recently retired as a senior producer and interviewer for TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE, a nationally-distributed public radio program. Her poems and essays have appeared in Poetry, The Kenyon Review, Nimrod, Prairie Schooner, Witness and other literary magazines and anthologies. Judith has been awarded writing residencies in Europe and the United States.
In the summer of 1998, she was Artist-in-Residence at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Her chapbook, Sand Island Succession: Poems of the Apostles, was published in 2002 by Parallel Press.
Judith has conducted writing workshops for adults and young people at the The Clearing (Door County, Wisconsin), Mexican Bob’s Poetry Camp (part of the Taos Poetry Circus) in New Mexico, and in Wisconsin schools. She led the workshop, Writing Our Place in the World for Valley Ridge in 2003 and will present her Writing a Life: A Memoir program over three weekends in 2004.
