Magical Metal
Instructor: Beryl Taylor

The class will incorporate two main techniques - making fabric paper from candy wrappers and working with metal embossing foil. The fabric paper will be made to take on the appearance of metal and will be combined with the foil to create magical embellishments. The foil will also be used to create a wall hanging which will be a series of foil panels manipulated and machine stitched to a fabric background. The excitement begins when we start to emboss the foil and change it's appearance with colored inks, nail polish, gesso, modeling paste, glass bead gel, water soluble paper, rubber stamps, embossing powders, eyelets, brads and punches.
